Deja Vu All Over Again

Last time on La Femme Nikita, Birkoff was killed by his AI project, Nikita turned out to be a mole for Center, Mick turns out to be Mr. Jones, the head of Center, Walter is sent to be a teacher at the "Farm", Madeline kills herself rather than be talked down to by some "ad hoc internal affairs bimbo", Operations is made to run Section One for seven more years, and Michael is given cancellation orders by Nikita but she saves him then tells him to go away since she never loved him. As this season [which I deny happens] starts, Nikita cuts off her long hair and starts to work for Center and Mr. Jones. Red Cell has moved a substation into a place that is outside their territory. Mr. Jones(A.K.A Mick) tells Nikita that she is the best operative to go back into the field to find out why because Nikita knows the man who can give them the answers. He is Joseph Domatov and she went undercover as his bodyguard in Cairo three years ago (though we never saw this onscreen). Nikita must work with Section One to find this man and get answers. Inside Section One, Marco O'Brien, the cop that Nikita brought into Section One during the episode Voices, has now taken over Michael's position in Section One. Nobody in Section trusts Nikita and Operations has Quinn try to find out that Nikita saved Michael from cancellation. On the mission, Nikita, with the help of Quinn sneaks into Domatov's house effortlessly, while O'Brien is shown that he can never fill Michael's shoes since the guy can't sneak nor is he smooth but he does get inside. Domatov agrees to hire Nikita and O'Brien as security for the meeting he is facilitating between Red Cell and other terrorists with similar goals. As terrorist begin to arrive, one terrorist, Mr. Piket, recognizes O'Brien from an earlier mission and Nikita has to kill him so they don't blow their cover. O'Brien now has to wear a mask to look like Piket. Even though Nikita wanted to better Section by stopping the use of abeyance operatives, she has to use just one more to get the mask to them. The meeting starts and O'Brien just walks out then Section bombs the house. It turns out the meeting and the terrorists there were fakes set up to distract Section One. None of the real terrorists died so Mr. Jones is pissed. He tells Nikita she must stay in Section One until she cleans up this mess and puts everything right. If Nikita has to stay in Section One, then she will start making a few changes the first one being to get Walter back to his old position.

A Girl Who Wasn't There

Section is trying to find out all they can about who the terrorists are that attended the real secret meeting. They find out that this coalition of terrorists call themselves The Collective and are headed by Graff and Alain. Nikita meets Jasmine, a new recruit that herself and Michael trained in last season's episode Time To Be Heroes, and gives her the opportunity to try out Nikita's new pilot program where she lets operatives have more freedom. Unfortunately, Jasmine fails in her first test when she comes back into Section late. Also Jasmine trips a booby trap in the next mission which results in some operatives dying and the team not getting what they came there for. Back at Section, Quinn has her own project in the works. She has created a holo-Madeline for Operations to use in whatever ways he needs her. Operations is not satisfied and wants Quinn to do some alterations on the holo-Madeline specifically to make her more human and feminine. Nikita does not like new holo-Madeline ("Let’s tell him that you are dating an inflatable computer program.") and soon Operations realizes that this Madeline is not his Madeline and so he deletes her program. For Quinn's "help" at trying to make him forget about Madeline, he promotes her to Level 3. [No, I don't get it either.] Meanwhile, Walter is back in Section One and Nikita wants him to help her find out why she was brought into Section in the first place. Walter gives her a program that Birkoff made to help her find out. Nikita finds out that she might have a sibling and that a man by the code name of Flavius might be her father. She finds an address and when she goes inside a house at those coordinates, she finds two bronze baby shoes, a disk, and a bomb. Before she can find out who the person on the motorcycle is that she hears while inside the house, the bomb goes off but she gets out safe.

In Through The Out Door

At the start of the episode, a man who is part of an ad hoc committee as a replacement for George, is yelling at Operations about his inability to get data on The Collective and he plans to report Operations. Prisoners escape and take the man hostage and Operations shoots him to get to the prisoner. Now that committee man can't say anything. ("He’s right. This place is falling apart.") Nikita, O'Brien, and Jasmine go on a mission but during the mission, Nikita experiences severe headaches and almost lets the bad guy get away. It turns out that Nikita is still suffering from the effects of the Gelman process which Section subjected her to during the first few episodes of Season 4. On the disk that Nikita got from the house last week, Jason finds coordinates. Nikita goes there and discovers that this is where Michael hid Adrian, the mother of Section One who was also subjected to the Gelman process. Nikita finds Adrian's body and also a PF3 communicator which shouldn't even be deployed yet. With a DNA sample from Adrian, Walter is able to find a cure for Nikita. O'Brien covers for Nikita and Operations does not believe him. ("She destroyed Michael. She’ll destroy you, too.") On the next mission, a strange voice from the PF3 communicator helps her to get through the mission.

All The World's A Stage

Nikita is spending a late night at Section trying to find out The Collective's cripple point. She is exhausted so she decides to go back to her office to get some rest despite protests from Quinn. Inside, she finds a masked man. He rushes out and she follows but he gets away. Nikita thinks Quinn is in on this break in since she did not want Nikita to go to her office. Quinn says that it was not her. But she is trying to seduce Operations ("What do you think? Go to bed with me, wake up with Madeline’s job?") but Operations tells her that she is not ready for the tower now but later on he invites her up and she screws him literally but more importantly by bugging his tower with her contact lens. Nikita wants to talk to Mr. Jones but to get him out of Center, she makes up a mission that needs Mick Schtoppel to get Massima Valenti, an arms dealer with ties to the Collective. Mick and Nikita go to Massima's club to capture her. They make the deal and on the way back to Section, Nikita confronts "Mr. Jones". She wants to know who her father is and why she is in Section. Mr. Jones says he does not know because he is not Mr. Jones or even Mick Schtoppel. He says he is an actor named Martin who was brought in to play those parts. Nikita and Mr. Jones/Mick/Martin go back to the club and apprehend Massima. When Nikita goes back to Center to talk to "Mr. Jones", she finds out that Mick/Martin was probably cancelled and his assistant, Michele, whom Nikita believes is her sister, was relocated. So Nikita follows someone who she knows works for Mr. Jones. He leads her to a mansion. She breaks in, sees Michele, and then turns the corner to see her father.

The Man Behind The Curtain

As Nikita enters into a room in a mansion that she has just broken into, she sees a man that claims to be her father and the real Mr. Jones, head of Center. The next thing he does is put her on a mission to Belgrade. How sweet! Nikita enlists the help of O'Brien to get a seven minute window so she can get a package that Mr. Jones wanted. The package is a shadow disk with Section encryption. Since it was left in a dead drop that The Collective has been using, Mr. Jones and Nikita believe that there is a mole in Section. Mr. Jones thinks it is Operations or O'Brien. It's Nikita's job to find out who is the mole. But first, Nikita wants to know why she was brought it. He tells her she is family, she belongs here, and she had to become who she was meant to be. ("Just pout, because daddy never took you to the zoo.") Inside The Collective, Graff and Alain argue over how they want to proceed to destroy Section. Graff puts himself in charge now. Nikita seduces O'Brien to get him into his apartment but finds out that he is not the mole and the shadow disks he has are for sending money to his mother. So believing that Operations is the mole, Mr. Jones goes into Section One to confront him. They change the Helsinki mission so that if Operations is the mole, The Collective won't know their plan. But The Collective received the new profile, which gets Operations off the hook as the mole but O'Brien dies trying to save his team. R.I.P. Inside The Collective, we get to see that the real mole is Michael with really bad hair. His terms are Nikita lives and Section dies.

The Evil That Men Do

Mr. Jones and Nikita are still trying to find out who is the mole. Veytoss, a rather unusual computer program Section now has that makes strikingly accurate predictions, thinks it's Michael but Nikita insists that Michael died on his abeyance mission. Operations is pissed that Mr. Jones is taking Nikita away from Section One and is changing his missions around so he tries to get Nikita killed on her next mission. Nikita is pissed that Operations tried to kill her so they both demand an Article Three which means that one lives and one dies. Operations tells Mr. Jones that Michael is the mole and this time Nikita reveals that she did save Michael from dying on the abeyance mission. Nikita believes that Michael is only working with The Collective to learn as much as he can about them and use it to buy his way back into Section so he can find his son Adam. Mr. Jones decides that it will be Operations who dies and sends The Collective his plane coordinates to be shot down. Operations survives the crash and hides in the woods until Nikita can save him. Later, Operations finds the bug that Quinn planted in the tower and accuses her of being the mole. But Quinn is not a mole for The Collective but a mole for Center and Mr. Jones. Lastly, somehow The Collective find out that Michael has a son and decides to find Adam to blackmail Michael.

Let No Man Put Asunder

Nikita gets back from a mission and decides she is tired. She goes back to her quarters inside Section One and suddenly Michael appears on her monitor. He wants her to bring him back into Section. Nikita goes to pick up Michael at a church and viewers see that this is as close as we will ever get to see Michael and Nikita say "I do." Michael goes in to debrief Operations. Operations lets Michael know who the real Mr. Jones is ("You were always smart. What could be smarter than getting into bed with the boss’ daughter.") but Ops tells Michael to get out since he really has no power anymore. Michael goes in to talk with Mr. Jones and gives him information on how to stop The Collective from disrupting a conference and assassinating delegates. Nikita and Michael foil The Collectives plan, and The Collective now know that Michael is not working for them anymore. Michael tells Mr. Jones that he wants his son Adam and Nikita for a job well done. Mr. Jones tells Michael that Elena, Adam's mother and Michael's mission wife was killed in a car accident and he can't have Nikita. Michael then goes to see Nikita for a mind-blowing love making session in which the frelling USA network would not let us see! ("I lied. I know.") They go to a restaurant later the next day to talk about what they both want to do now. Michael wants her to come with him and Nikita talks about a white picket fence, minivans, a dog, and children all of which just spells trouble because you know in any show when someone talks about what they want they almost never get it. Of course when Michael and Nikita get back to Section, they find out that The Collective has kidnapped Adam and they want Michael to come back to The Collective's headquarters to talk. The Collective, knowing that Michael is the best operative alive, wants him to bring them Mr. Jones. Operations tried to save Adam but somehow forgot to take a large backup team and a bullet proof vest and gets killed. [Or appears to get killed and runs off to live with Madeline to live happily ever after. Yes I am delusional.]

A Time For Every Purpose

Now that Operations is dead and Nikita has turned down the position to fill his spot, two new candidates, Myra Monk and Kelly, are sent in to compete for the position. Jason likes Myra because he did favors for her but Walter hates her and knows that she will have him killed because he refused to sleep with her. Walter asks Jason to dig up some stuff on her so that she won't be the new Operations. Jason does and neither Kelly nor Myra end up being the new head of Section One. Meanwhile, Michael lies to Nikita that he got Adam and himself out of The Collective's headquarters but really he didn't but just needed a way to get close to Mr. Jones so that he can kidnap him to pretend to trade him for his son. Michael meets with Alain from The Collective and offers to kill Graff, the head of the Collective, so Alain can be in charge in exchange for letting Adam go free. They kill Graff but they also find Alain dead too so now they have no way to free Adam. Michael wants to let himself be taken by The Collective to get Adam back and Mr. Jones agrees but makes Michael promise that he has to commit suicide before The Collective can ever question him. As they are about to do the exchange, Mr. Jones shows up and offers to give himself to The Collective so that Michael can be with his son but Nikita has to promise to go back and head Section One. They all agree, the exchange is made, and The Collective kills Mr. Jones. [Don't get me started on all of this!] Nikita takes Michael and Adam to the train station so that Michael and son can, I guess, hide though I think that they would be safer inside Section. Michael promises to come back someday when Adam doesn't need him anymore. They kiss, cry, and tell each other finally that they both love one another then Nikita leaves. Lastly, we see Nikita in Operations Loft, where she is now in command of Section One. [Insertdietyofchoicehere help us all.]
