OPENING SCENE:
Scene 1: A room where these men, along with a woman are meeting. They are discussing business, looking at pictures of this man. A man name Hugo is telling one of the brothers Simon (wrestler type) who wants to do business with them.
Hugo: Hassan is the one on the far left.
Simon: Does he want to deal?
Hugo: Yes, but he's not very approachable(we see then, Karl(Simon's brother) in the room, listening, smoking a cigarette) There's this entire protocol you have to go through to get to him.
Simon: And is that a problem?
Wife(Hugo's wife) Not if you have this (holding up a disk. It's got all his contact points. (Karl looking at her)
Simon: How many units does he want?
Hugo: 20
Karl: Exposure?
Hugo: Minimal
Simon: (laughing) Good work Hugo (smirking, looking at the woman) You and your wife make a good team
Hugo: (Hugo at Karl, then at his wife, then at Simon, looking curious) Thank you
Simon looking at his wife, smirking, the wife at Simon nervous, more like frightened
Hugo: We should go(looking at his wife, getting up)
Karl: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa Hugo(waving his hand for him,) what about dessert, huh?
Simon: Bring dessert(telling the man standing behind him)
Karl: Pour us a drink Hugo, it's right behind you there, would you mind(blowing the smoke from his cigarette, Hugo looking looking at his wife Hugo gets up, goes over to the table to pour up a drink, his wife watches, nervous, looks over at Karl. Simon smirking looking at Hugo. Then Simon and Karl looking at one another. Hugo brings a drink over to Karl)
Hugo: Everyone drinking?
Karl: Not you(holds up a gun and shoots Hugo)
Hugo falls to the floor, his wife horrified, very upset
Karl: Hey Hugo, you okay, huh
Simon: (laughing) Great shot, bro.
Karl: Thanks, Simon
Karl comes over toward Hugo's wife
Karl: Simon, you like good dessert?
Simon: Absolutely(showing the wife frightened, Karl standing behind her)
Karl: I like the dessert, you (talking to Hugo's wife) don't like the dessert, huh?(brother coming on the the wife, she's frightened, Simon looking on) Come on, eat the dessert.
Then showing Karl packing a bag in the room, then putting the disk that the wife had also in the bag
Simon: This won't be a straightforward deal, it may take you awhile
Karl: Yeah, yeah don't worry about me, I'll be fine
Simon: I know you will bro(both hug)
They show Hugo's wife laid on a table dead. Her shirt is off, she is in her bra, her eyes open, blood coming from her mouth.
SCENE 2: Section One, White Room
Karl is dragged in the white room, strapped to the chair.
Karl: What are you doing? Back off!
Then Madeline comes in, smiling.
Madeline: Hello (smiling, walking towards him, holding a disk, the door closes)
Karl: (disgusted) No thanks, I prefer younger. (Cathy in: Oh boy, you are TOAST buddy…)
Madeline: Oh, that's too bad, it's just you and me. We see that you were approaching Nestor Hassan(buyer) I assume it's to sell him the Anthrax rockets you stole
Karl: (disgusted, sarcastic) Well, you've got all the answers don't you, so what do you need me for?
Madeline: (sincere) Where's your brother?
Karl smirks, Madeline smiles. Karl shakes his head smirking
Madeline: Where's Simon?
SCENE 3: OPERATIONS LOFT
Madeline: It's been two days, and Karl Peruze still hasn't transferred yet.
Operations: Have you looked at alternatives?
Madeline: All but one.
Operations: What's that?
Madeline: The Caspar project
Operations: Aren't we still in beta?
Madeline: Yes for over a year, it's time to try it out.
SCENE 4: WAR ROOM - BRIEFING
Operations is briefing everyone about the mission, we see Karl and Simon's picture on screen. Nikita, Walter, Birkoff, Michael and two other ops are listening to the debrief
Operations: This is Simon Peruze, along with his brother Karl, they operate under the name Black Sun (Nikita looking on) The supply house used for dozens of wet works, and class ten activities. Simon is the inside operator, is our target. Our sources indicate he owns an arsenal of Anthrax rockets that Karl has been dispatched to sell, Birkoff?
Birkoff: We only have been able to distract fragments from Karl. We have a contact number and code for the buyer Nestor Hassan(buyer)
Operations: We believe the plan is this. Karl makes his deal with Hassan, when the finances are transacted, Karl will return to Simon.
Michael: But we don't know where Simon is?
Operations: No, Karl is being modified now to help lead us to him and the rockets. Operatives are on stand-by, Nikita see Madeline(Nikita nods) that will be all(everyone leaves)
SCENE 5: SECTION ONE, MADELINE'S OFFICE
Nikita comes to see Madeline
Madeline: We're trying a new neural stripping process on Karl Peruze. Your job will be to reprogram him.
Nikita: You mean oversee it?
Madeline: No, you'll be personally involved.
Nikita: How personal?(sort of disgusted, Madeline is looking at her)
SCENE 6: SECTION ONE, WHITE ROOM
Karl is strapped to the chair, all in white. A metal device is on his head. He has them lines under his eyes, he looks pissed, Madeline comes in
Karl (looking at Madeline): You're wasting your time.
Madeline:(smiling) Don't worry, we have plenty of it. (Cathy in: Go Maddy! LOL!)
Suddenly we see a gun in Madeline's hand, she shoots Karl in the leg. Karl screams in pain, Madeline looking at Karl. Karl looking at Madeline, shaking, disgusted, eyes wide open
Karl: I will never give up my brother
Madeline: I know (doors opens, the torture twins enter with a new invention!!!! This you have to see!!)
Karl: What's this, lunch?
I can't explain this device, its too weird for me lol. Hint, did you ever see the movie "Total Recall" lol Nikita and Michael are looking on from another room
Michael: Here is Peruze's file, (hands Nikita a small disk) study it.
Nikita: How much of his memory are they going to modify?
Michael: We're going to erase his mind, you'll become his teacher(turning and looking at her, Nikita looking at Michael. Showing Karl in the room. they start the procedure, very, weird to watch!
SCENE 7: SECTION ONE
Nikita is looking at Karl's file, one side pictures of Karl, the other side, people who he has killed, see their bloody bodies
SCENE 8: SECTION ONE, COMM
Birkoff is at his station typing, drinking tea it looks like. Preparing a report for Operations on a file. He is looking at the file, Martelli. Showing his picture on the screen. Says on the screen...Steven Wolfe(Operations son) link to murder > Martelli int Birkoff types a few more keys, the picture of Steven comes up, under it.......DECEASED. He leaves and goes to see Madeline
SCENE 9: SECTION ONE, MADELINE'S OFFICE
Madeline is typing, Birkoff enters
Madeline: What's up Birkoff?
Birkoff: It's about the Martelli file.
Madeline: He's not coming in until Friday, it's too early to talk about.
Birkoff: I think you're going to need all the time that's left.
Madeline: (sincere) What is it?
Birkoff: I was checking out his activities for the past year, just making sure he isn't abusing our protection. There was a murder.
Madeline: Even though we've green listed him, he's still a terrorist.
Birkoff: The victim was Steven Wolfe, Operations' son. (Maddy is shocked,
sad in the eyes, looks down)
Birkoff: I already touched the file, it goes automatically goes to
Operations this afternoon.
Madeline: (concerned) Can you delay that?
Birkoff: No.
Madeline: (nodding looking away) Okay, thank you Birkoff, you can go now(worried…this is the only time I have ever heard Madeline's voice almost break.)
Birkoff: Don't you want me to do something?
Madeline: (puzzled) Like what?
Birkoff: I don't know, Martelli is coming here in three days and I can't think of any outcome that doesn't involve blood inside section.
Madeline: That's not your concern
Birkoff leaves, Madeline is concerned
SCENE 10: SECTION ONE, COMM
Birkoff is at his computer, buzzes Operations
Birkoff: Sir?
Operations: Yes.
Birkoff:: Your daily report is ready for you.
Operations: Thank you.
Shows Operations in his loft, looking over to the computer, he presses a remote, he is looking at the report. We see the back of Operations, as does Birkoff who is looking right up at Operations. Then we see the close-up of Operation's face. Totally shocked, I can't believe I would say these words, I feel sorry for him, the look on his face, totally devastated. His eyes filled up, gasping, very emotional scene. Far away, we see Operations in his loft, see him turning around, looking around. He presses the remote, he darkens the room Shows Birkoff and Madeline looking up from the floor. Birkoff turning and looking at Madeline, Madeline then looking at Birkoff, she leaves. Birkoff begins typing, then looking up at operations again.
SCENE 11: HOTEL
Shows Nikita and Karl. Karl laying on the bed Nikita rubbing his head with a cloth
Nikita: Karl, are you all right?
Karl (confused): What happened?
Nikita: You were shot, you've been down for three days, I was so afraid.
Karl (sitting up) Who are you?
Nikita: Lay down.
Karl: I asked you a question.
Nikita (smiling): Karl, I'm Nikita, your fiancee(kissing him)
Karl looks confused, gets up, using a cane
Nikita: You don't remember me?
Karl: How long have I been here?
Nikita: Three days.
Karl: You've been taking care of me?
Nikita: What do you mean, of course I have Karl. Karl, what's the matter
Karl: What happened to me(confused) ?
Nikita: You got shot in the leg, fell and hit your head, that's when you went out. I think you suffered some memory loss.
Karl: That's my name...Karl?
Nikita: Yes.
Karl: We're supposed to get married? (puzzled)
Nikita: You don't remember anything?
Karl: No, why was I shot, who am I?
Nikita: You're a businessman.
Karl: Business, what kind of business?
Nikita: Terrorism.
Karl (rubbing his head in disbelief): I don't believe you.
Nikita: It's true, you work with your brother.
Karl: My brother, doing what?
Nikita: I don't know the details, you were working on a deal, that was very complicated, and I helped you.
Karl: How did you help me.
Nikita: You came to buy a fake identity, I gave it to you, that's how we met.
Karl looking at a passport, with his picture on it
SECTION 12: SECTION ONE, MADELINE'S OFFICE
Madeline: Does Karl suspect anything?
Nikita: He asked questions, none I can't answer.
Madeline: Good, so he believes you?
Nikita: Seems to.
Just then we're see a new device of Madeline's. The movie "Predator" comes to mind. We see Nikita, but its like a shadow of her on a screen, red spots on this shadow, like they are looking right through her. Madeline is talking to Nikita while looking at this behind her desk
Madeline: Are there any side effects from the treatment?
shows the shadow of Nikita on screen
Nikita: No… so far.
It's like this device is showing her movement, and if she is being truthful
Madeline: Where does he think you are?
Nikita: Supply run.
Madeline: Go to Systems before you return, there is some new data for you to review.
Nikita goes toward the door, pauses
Madeline: Is there something else Nikita?
Nikita: Yes, I wanted to know what is going to happen to Karl after the assignment? (device monitoring Nikita)
Madeline: Why do you ask?
Nikita: I don't know, just curious.
Madeline: It's counterproductive to think along those lines. Nikita leaves, Madeline looks at the screen, then presses a device, we hear a woman's voice
Madeline: Analysis?
woman op: Satisfactory.
SCENE 13: HALLWAY IN SECTION
Nikita walking along the hall, Michael appears
Michael: Nikita(Nikita hears Michael, stops, turns toward him) where are you going?
Nikita: To systems.
Michael: Here's another dvd, look at it(passes her a bottle of pills)
Nikita: What are these?
Michael: Neural strip maintenance. Make sure he takes them.
Nikita: Michael, he was shot. Do you have anything for the pain?
Michael: I don't care about his pain(no emotion) Neither should you.
Nikita puts her head down, Michael walks away, Nikita turns and watches him leave
SCENE 14: HOTEL
Nikita enters the room with a bag of groceries, with the medication Michael gave her. Karl is looking through drawers
Nikita: Hey, looking for something, need some help?
Karl: Where have you been?
Nikita: Getting supplies, medicine for your leg.
Karl: Why do I get the feeling you're hiding something from me?
Nikita: I don't know.
Karl: Tell me about these (holding up pictures of Karl and Nikita in each other's arms)
Nikita(smiling): It was a crazy afternoon
Karl: I don't understand Nikita, now if I am who you say I am, why would I want to marry anyone?
Nikita: Anyone, you really think I'm just anyone?(acting hurt, upset)
Karl: This doesn't make sense, who's this(shows Nikita one of the pictures, it's Simon)
Nikita: Your brother.
Karl: The business partner right?
Nikita: His name's Simon.
Karl: What's he like?
Nikita: I don't know, I never met him, I only know what you told me about him.
Karl: What was that?
Nikita: That you don't trust him.
Karl: Well I trust you - right?
Nikita: Yes you do.
Karl: For all I know, you could have faked these photos, right. I mean that's what you do isn't it?
Nikita: Karl this is getting old real fast. If you can't handle the fact that we're together, that's one thing. But we made a plan, and you promised me a third.
Karl: A third what?
Nikita: Ten million dollars(kisses him) I'm going to take a shower(watches her leave surprised)
SCENE 15: SECTION ONE - OPERATIONS LOFT
Madeline is on her way up to see Operations, but he meets up with her
Madeline: I was just coming up.
See Operations, looks tired, hurt, lost. No tie, shirt unbuttoned
Madeline: The returns from the archipelago are in, the vote went against the pate. We're going to have platform field ops in that area.
Operations: Sure.
Madeline: How does an increase of 10& sound?
Operations: Sounds like a good number to start with(emotional) Is Martelli scheduled to come in this week?
Madeline: Yes, he is, Friday. Do you want to go over anything?
Operations: Where is the meeting scheduled to take place(looks mad)
Madeline: Your area.
Operations: Change it to Committee.
Madeline: Okay.
Operations starts to leave, very sad, distraught, Maddy turns and watches him, very concerned
Madeline: Is everything all right?
Operations back on, he stops for a second then continues leaving, goes upstairs, camera zooms in on Madeline, looking very worried.
SCENE 16: HOTEL
Karl: Who is the anthrax for?
Nikita: A man name Hassan. We were about to call him before you got shot(she dials the number, passes him the phone) Don't worry, I'll walk you through it.
Karl: We should wait.
Nikita: Wait for what?
Karl: For me to start remembering again. This is a very dangerous deal.
Nikita: Yes it is, but if you wait, you are going to lose the deal. Nikita takes the phone, dials again
SCENE 17: MISSIONS
Operations, Michael, Birkoff, three other ops are there discussing the mission Nikita is on.
Birkoff: Nikita and Karl have made contact with Hassan. The transfer will take place tomorrow. I've uploaded panels with the time and place.
Operations looking away, looks very lost, Birkoff gets his attention
Birkoff: Sir (Ops looking at him, he looks up, looks over to Michael, his voice very emotional)
Operations: Take this for me.
Michael doesn't look at him. Michael nods to Birkoff, Birkoff puts the place on the screen
Michael: We won't interfere unless things get critical once Nikita and Karl are safely away, you'll take out Hassan's people.
SCENE 18: SOMEWHERE IN SECTION
Birkoff and Madeline are walking through section
Birkoff: I saw that Friday's meeting with Martelli is still on.
Madeline: Yes.
Birkoff: Is that such a good idea, I mean won't George be there?
Madeline: Yes he will.
Birkoff: Aren't you worried? Martelli is protected. If Operations does
something crazy…
Madeline: Operations is aware of what would happen if he kills Martelli.
Maddy leaves, Birkoff watches her
SCENE 19: SECTION 1- MADDY'S OFFICE
Showing Maddy…she punches in a code, calling Oversight
MADELINE (smiling): Hello George, its Madeline at ONE. I have something new for you (smiling again)
SCENE 20: HOTEL
Great song playing, Karl and Nikita are in bed. Karl is asleep, Nikita awake. She is upset, crying, looking at him. She gets up, so upset. Both arms up, rubbing her shoulders, looking at Karl in the bed, as she walks at the other side of the room. She looks upset, disgusted in one sense, confused. Close-up of her looking in the mirror. She is touching her face, see the pain in her face. She starts crying again, hand against her face
SCENE 21: SECTION 1 MUNITIONS
Walter is working, Nikita comes to see him
Walter: Hey sweetness.
Nikita is upset, her voice is deep. Totally black sunglasses on, she looks tired
Nikita: What are they doing to me Walter?
Walter: What do you mean?
She takes off her glasses, eyes puffy, like she was crying alot, very tired and upset
Nikita: I don't know what's happening to me.
Walter: Huh?
Nikita: Karl disgusts me, he is as despicable person as I've ever met(upset here) and I'm falling in love with him.
Walter: In love?
Nikita: I can't help myself, I've got no control over my feelings(breaking down)
Walter: When did you start noticing this?
Nikita shakes her head
Walter: Your cover procedure - anything out of the ordinary?
Nikita: No.
Walter: How did you prep the mission?
Nikita: The usual way. Michael gave me some supplementary profiles, our eyes only.
Walter suspicious
Walter: Let's go take a look.
She follows Walter. Walter accesses the file Nikita had on Karl
Walter: Oh, what's this?
Nikita: What?
Walter: Drop frame(showing Karl on the screen) there.
Nikita: No target.
Walter: Look again.
Nikita: Am I missing something Walter?
Walter: You're not going out of your mind, you're being conditioned - they've all been adjusted.
Nikita: I don't see anything.
Walter: Look at the irregularities, in the skin tone. They've been airbrushed. Relax, focus on the face.
We see a close up of Karl's face
Nikita: OK, what am I looking for?
Walter: Look for differences in texture.

Walter: Now watch, while I adjust the contrast.
The picture is changing, its Michael!
Nikita: My god, it's Michael. You mean that all this is happening by watching these dvd's?
Walter: Partly.
Walter holds the disk in his hand, flashes a light on the disk, see fingerprints on the disk
Walter: See that, fingerprints, they've treated it with a chemical agent. You took it in through your skin, it primed your system.
Nikita (disgusted): For what?
Walter: Your assignment hedged on Karl believing that you loved him, now they knew that you couldn't do that, so they directed your emotions, using someone that you cared about.
Nikita looks hurt and disgusted, takes the disk, leaves, very mad
SCENE 22: SECTION ONE, MADELINE'S OFFICE
Nikita enters upset
Nikita: What do you think you are doing?
Madeline: What do you mean? (turning toward her)
Nikita: You manipulated me (her eyes are incredible, she looked pissed. Very strong, stood her ground, go girl! Showing the disk) I slept with him(shouting)
Madeline: We had to make sure your cover stayed intact.
Nikita: So how long was this going to go on for, huh?
Madeline: You'll have your own emotions back when this is over. In the mean time, don't fight it.
I can't believe how she never hit Madeline, Nikita looked pissed!
The door opened behind Nikita
Madeline: Come in Michael(Nikita looks mad) Nikita and I have finished our debrief.
Nikita turns around, Michael looking at her. Very, very close together
Nikita: You knew it all along didn't you(Michael, no emotion) Don't you ever get tired of being their errand boy Michael? (no emotion on Michael's face) I got to say this, this was coming. Some may not agree, I can't believe I would say these words, but he deserves it!. Nikita stood her ground!! Nikita turned and SMACKED him right across the face(I felt it!!) His face went to the side. Madeline stood watching, she looked surprised, Madeline stood watching, she looked down then back up at them. He wouldn't look, he kept his head down. As Nikita passed Michael, she stopped before going out the door, turned towards Michael and Madeline, looking at both in disgust.
Nikita: That's courtesy of my own free will(she tosses the disk in front of Michael as she leaves Michael turned his head forwarded, when Nikita spoke. Madeline and Michael shared a look. Madeline looks at Michael, then down, then at him again.
SCENE 23: MISSION
Nikita and Karl are meeting with the buyer. They arrive in a car.
Nikita: It's going to be fine.
Shows Michael in section on a computer watching
Michael: Incoming(see a car approaching)
Nikita: Don't do dialogue with this guy. Just get him to transfer the funds and we're out of here.
Karl: Okay, should I take a gun?
Nikita: No, I'll cover you from here(Karl smiles)
Karl: Okay. Should I take a gun?
Nikita: No. I'll cover you from here.
Karl walks over to the crowd of men. They all meet
Buyer: Karl, it's nice to finally meet you in person.
Karl: So as agreed, the 20 units will be delivered to you as soon as you get the money into our account.
Buyer: When can I expect delivery?
Karl: 48 hours.
Michael(listening): All positions, stand-by.
Shows an operatives hand, aiming the gun at the target
Buyer: Money has been deposited into your account. It's been a pleasure doing business with you Karl. Come on, let's go.
Karl goes back to the car
Karl: Okay, we're done.
Nikita: Good, lets get out of here.
Michael sees Nikita and Karl drive away
Michael: We're clear, move in. Take out everyone.
Showing Michael's face, we hear gunshots
SCENE 24: HOTEL
Nikita is typing on a computer, Karl taking the medication
Nikita: Good, the money is all there, you're rich. (both smiling)
Karl: No, no, no, we are rich. (kisses her on the cheek, then on the lips, Nikita seems uncomfortable)
Karl: What's the matter?
Nikita: Nothing.
Karl: So what now?
Nikita: We wait for your brother to contact you.
Karl: How will he know it's done?
Nikita: Well, he'll see all that money in your account (both smiling) You have to be careful, Karl.
Karl: Why?
Nikita: Well I was thinking, if your brother is as suspicious as you told me he was, then you shouldn't tell him anything about losing your memory.
Karl: You're right.
Nikita (slightly kisses, then Nikita talks): And you also shouldn't tell him about me.
Karl: Okay (kisses her) so what shall we do until he calls? (comes on to her)
Nikita: We can do a bit of shopping on the internet. Just then, Nikita looks at Karl, she sees his face, turn into Michael, Nikita speechless, then back into Karl's face
SCENE 25: SECTION OHE
Madeline and Operations walking in section
Operations: Where are we with Karl Peruze?
Madeline: Everything is in place, we're just waiting for Simon to call.
Operations: What if he doesn't?
Madeline: I sent you up a report on that contingency this morning.
Operations: I've been busy. (walking past her)
Madeline: I hope you don't do anything that you will regret (Operations stops)
Operations: What does that mean (still facing the other way)
Madeline: I read the Martelli report, I know about Steven (Operations looks upset) If you take unilateral action on this-
Operations cuts her off, turns towards her
Operations: When I want your advice on that matter, I'll ask for it. In the meantime, you have more then enough to do
Madeline (sincere): Let me help you.
Operations (looking away, then at her) Can you bring him back to life, can you?
Madeline just looking at him
Operations: Then there's no help you can offer.
She watches him leave.
SCENE 26: HOTEL
Showing Nikita and Karl, lying in bed, both asleep. Karl awakes, having flashbacks of when he killed Hugo and his wife, his brother Simon. He wakes up, feeling his head
Nikita: What are you thinking about, what is it?
Michael listening in section
Karl: Just had these weird flashes.
Nikita: Of what?
Birkoff listening
Karl: I think it was Simon.
Birkoff: Damn it, he's going recall, it's too soon.
Michael: Team six, stand-by, we may need an intervention.
Nikita: Do you remember? (Karl shaking his head)
Karl: I don't know, it's gone.
Nikita: How's the pain in your leg?
Karl: Still there.
Nikita: Here, take some of these. (gives him the pills)
Karl: Thanks (taking the pills) Oh that was weird.
Nikita: Come on, let's go back to bed. (smiling)
He leans down to kiss her, the phone rings
Karl: Hello
Simon: Karl (smiling) I see that money's been transferred into our account.
Michael (in section): We're going into final phase.
Birkoff and others at section are tracking the phone call
Birkoff: OK, everybody, we're going final. One, two, four fall back. Backups to your marks.
SCENE 27: SECTION
Birkoff is at his desk, Michael beside him.
Birkoff: Looks like they're heading toward Gladsk. There's an air field there.
Michael (taking off earpiece): Prepare the jet, contact my team.
SCENE 28: CLUB
Karl and Nikita are meeting Simon in an upstairs room, we see Simon
Simon: Brother. (both hug)
Karl: Good to see you.
Simon: You look like a million bucks.
Karl: 10 million baby. (laughs)
Simon is looking at Nikita
Nikita: Hello.
Simon: Hey babe (grabs her, dipping her, kissing her)
Karl: Hey, hey(grabbing Simon) What are you doing huh?
Simon: I'm doing the exact same thing I always do bro.
Karl: Well, she's different, we're together. Simon was surprised, Nikita head on Karl's shoulder
Simon: Well then, welcome to the family.
Nikita: Thank-you.
Simon: Doublecross us, and I'll kill you (all laughing) So then, tell me all about it (Nikita watches, as they go past, Simon got his arm around Karl's shoulder talking to him)
SCENE 29: Mission Van
Michael: Birkoff, update me.

Michael: How wide is the perimeter?
Birkoff: Two clicks. We can't go any closer until we have confirmation on the Anthrax.
SCENE 30: SIMON'S PLACE
Simon is pouring Karl a drink, Nikita with her arm around Karl
Karl: So I went to Nikita for the password, ended up in bed. Then her boyfriend showed up, and that's when the fireworks started. Like I said, we got though it. We made the deal with the buyer.
Simon (suspicious): Well that accounts for the last two weeks, but bro you've been gone for over a month.
Karl is having flashbacks of Madeline, section, interrogation
Nikita: You all right baby, okay?
Karl looking at Simon, Simon looking at Karl, who doesn't know what's going on with his brother Karl.
Karl: Hugo and Athena.
Simon: What?
Karl: They were here right?
Simon: Yeah the day you left, what about it? (puzzled)
Nikita looks worried - Karl's remembering
Simon: What's wrong with you bro?
Karl: I'm fine, fine, what with the twenty questions, huh? Did the job right, right.
Nikita with her arms around Karl
Karl: Give me another drink will ya?
Birkoff(section) Michael stand-by We may need to send in your team, Karl's programming is starting to fragment.
Michael(telling his team in the van): Let's Go (Michael leaves)
Simon: So Nikita, what's your story?
Nikita: Karl told you, I did documents.
Simon: Where?
Nikita: Germany most, anywhere in Europe.
Simon: Then you must know Frederick Dragon?
Nikita: Yeah I do.
Simon (suspicious) Who is he?
Nikita: What is this, an interview?
Simon: Just answer the question.
Nikita: Karl: You're brother is an ass (Karl smiles, Simon aims the gun at Nikita, brother tries to stop him)
Karl: Take it easy, drop it (telling Simon)
Simon: Shut-up (Nikita frightened) I want to know if she is telling the truth. Now, who is he (still aiming the gun at her)
Nikita: Frederick Dragon. He's a former Stassi field agent, worked under Hans Drucker…Drucker Brigade. Went independent three years ago, forgeries, passports - and you probably didn't know this, but he's also into kiddie porn.
Simon: I know about that.
Nikita: I got to tell you Karl, I won't be spending any vacation with your family.
Nikita walk over and sits down
Simon (laughing): She's all right.
Karl: I know she is.
Nikita: Fellas, there's six hours left before Hassan's clock ticks midnight, so what about the Anthrax?
Simon: It's in the basement. The pilot is on his way.
Nikita: In the basement, isn't that a little close
Simon: Don't worry about it.
Birkoff: Okay, all teams go, it's on site.
Simon: You know when we get the money, I want to go down to Martinique, there's guy.....
We hear a noise
Simon looks at the screen, sees other ops coming in closer
Simon: We're under attack!
Karl: From who?
Simon (looking at Nikita): You, you brought them here.
Karl: Whoa, it has nothing to do with her, relax.
Simon shoves Karl aside
Nikita: Simon no! (frightened)
Simon: Karl is the only one who knew about this place.
Simon aims the gun to shoot Nikita
Karl: Simon no!
Karl shoots Simon, can't believe what he done. Nikita speechless. Karl walks over toward Simon. Simon is dead. Just then, Karl is having flashes again of Madeline, and the interrogation
Nikita: Karl, you all right? (looks afraid)
He remembers, looking at Simon again
Karl (upset): Oh Simon.
Shows Nikita nervous
Karl looks mad
Karl: She did this.
Nikita (sincere): Karl…
Karl turns and looks at Nikita
Nikita: Karl, no.
Michael walks in the room
Karl(yelling aiming the gun at Nikita): You killed him!
Michael: Karl (Karl turns, looks at Michael) Michael shoots Karl, Karl turns toward Nikita. She is looking at him, sort of sad, and disgusted. Karl falls to the floor, he's dead. Nikita looks at Michael, she lets out a sigh of relief. They both share a look. Nikita keeps her composure
Nikita: Basement is that way.
Michael pauses, looks at her again, then leaves. Nikita grabs her coat, looking around the room and leaves
CLOSING SCENES
SCENE 31: SECTION ONE
George is there talking to Operations and Madeline
George: I must tell you both that there's a movement afoot at Oversight, which I'm not totally against, to scale back some of the Sections.
Madeline: I assume you wouldn't be telling us that if we weren't under consideration.
George: Yes, frankly, there is a feeling that you've lost some focus (he looks at Operations when he says that, Operations still upset, they both share a look)
Madeline: We're at 93%, is there any other department that has that kind of efficiency? What you call losing focus, we call creative methodology.
Operations looks mad, goes to press a device
Operations: Where's Martelli?
woman Op: He just arrived, he's being brought up now (George look at Operations)
George: I will say for the most part, your green list program has been effective.
Madeline: Martelli was instrumental in the Phillipines maneuver.
(Operations very quiet looking straight ahead, looks mad, edgy)
George: Yes he was, I read the report.
Just then we see Martelli come in.
Martelli: Sorry I'm late
Operations moves ahead, see him hauling out a gun, aims and shoots Martelli
George: Thank you (Operations surprised, looks at George) If you hadn't done that, I was prepared to. Nobody can be allowed to embezzle even a dime from the Sections. So when Madeline called, I offered to take care of the problem myself.
Operations looking straight ahead, his mind still elsewhere
Madeline: (looking at Operations): I told him you would prefer to handle this matter personally. (looking at Operations)
Operations: Yes, that's the best way.
George: Yes, well I should be going. Things seem to be running satisfactorily here. I should be able to convince Oversight to keep their hands off One, for now (icy stare, George leaves)
Operations turning to Madeline
Operations: Thank you
Madeline watches Operations leave, she presses a button
Madeline: Housekeeping.
SCENE 31: NIKITA'S APARTMENT
Nikita is sitting in the chair, thinking. Staring at this light fixture, some kind of covering over it. Camera zooms in on the fixture, Nikita staring at it. We see Michael's face barely. As we see Michael's face, see the words love. Another picture, she looks at in her place. The one Mick was looking at when he first came to visit Nikita. Its the picture with the four squares. The camera zooms in, see small words on the picture, the word love, also other words are there, we see again. Nikita is upset by it. She goes over, takes the light cover that was on the light fixture, and the painting of the squares, she destroys them. Somebody is watching Nikita, we see her on four screens, see her destroying the picture. We hear a man's voice as we see Nikita on the four screens destroying the pictures
man: Alpha test complete.
